Here is a note from Melissa: "My mom and I attended your crazy quilt class at the Denver Nat'l Quilt Festival. I finally got it "done" and thought you might like to see it. I'm also the one who has 4 ferrets at home and had to show you how we "weasel" things from others around here. The second picture is of my ferret, Sid, who stands under my feet looking cute while I get ready for work in order to get a treat from me. Hope you enjoy and thanks so much for teaching the class!!"
Pillows by Pauline Drury. She says, "I finally got brave & made two 20" pillows in the colors that my mother likes for her birthday & Mothers Day. Two hankies had large "M's for 'Mother' so I put them in the center & worked from the outside to the center. After pinning all the hankies on & staystitching around the outside edge, I stitched them down to the backing by hand, then I did some crazy quilt stitches with embroidery thread. I am going to do a lap Quilt for her to go with them & I may use the Vintage napkins in that, too.

"GRANDMA'S BOYS, 2002
"I have entitled it, 'Grandma's Boys', all 4 of the boys names are on it somewhere and of course the 'K' is for their names." Barbie Brooks, Sebewaing MI

Hi, Cindy, I finished the quilt I started in your class at Bayshore, and am sending a picture. I've become addicted, and am collecting hankies everywhere. My second quilt is underway, and I taught a friend, too! This stuff is like eating candy--can't leave it alone! Blessings, Celia Woodworth Owosso, MI
"Yesterday" by D. Essman, Grand Junction, CO. Dee found most of the embellishments on this Hanky Panky in a brothel! Says Dee, "It was closed long ago and then used as a boarding house and lastly a saloon. A friend of a friend of mine inherited it and she didn't care for antiques so my friend and I went through every room and I personally bought 3 pickup loads full. Had a blast!" Dee is a professional embroidery teacher with decades of experience in sewing.

A 'Fussy' for Anne by Mary C . She says, "I made it for my sister Anne...it's very personal, and includes linens & hankies from our fore-mothers. I still have several pieces that I will use to make more Hanky-Pankies. (I'm calling them "Fussies," in the Victorian manner, if you don't mind!) Can't wait to get started! Thanks again for the wonderful idea." Mary C New York State
